Etty-Lilly is a family run business founded in 2009. We pride ourselves on the quality of our service and advice and take pride in the standard of products we stock.
I am keen knitter, sewer and craft enthusiast and soon realised how little choice there was in the area for wool, fabric, knitting and sewing essentials, this inspired me to open Etty-Lilly.
The shop stocks a wonderful range of wool, fabric and haberdashery accessories, all hand picked by myself, providing my customers with a fantastic range of new and exciting products. I am constantly seeking out new suppliers to keep my shop as exciting as possible.

We are the leading stockists for Brother, Janome, Singer, Bernina and Elna sewing machines and overlockers and we welcome customers to call in for a demonstration on any of our models on display.
We want you to buy the machine that is right for you, we encourage our customers to sit and ‘play’ on any of our machines until they feel comfortable with the model of their choice.

We stock a full range of knitting and sewing accessories for the enthusiastic and creative crafter.
Wools from suppliers including Style Craft, Sirdar and James Brett, fabrics from Rose & Hubble, Lewis & Irene alongside other suppliers of Disney prints, Christmas designs and a huge range of 100% cotton. Wadding, batting, faux fur and a lovely range of fleece fabrics will inspire your creative needs.
Our haberdashery department can supply you with ribbons, buttons, tapes, felts, patchwork essentials including cutting boards, scissors and guides. Threads, zips, needles and sewing machine accessories. With patterns from Burda, Simplicity and New Look you never be short of new project ideas.
If you are looking for gift inspiration our selection of knitting and sewing bags, wicker baskets, craft kits, knit-pro needles, machine bags and craft books will leave you spoilt for choice.
Machine Servicing & Repair Our Repair Service & Servicing
We recommend that your machine is serviced every 12 months, whether you use it every day or twice a year it is essential that it is kept lubricated and serviced to ensure years of trouble free sewing.
Using our in house technician we can repair and service most makes of sewing and embroidery machines and overlockers. We have access to all of the major parts suppliers and carry a huge array of second hand parts for older machines.
We do not charge for fault diagnosis and we can let you know the cost of any repairs before we carry out any work so you can decide if your machine is worth the repair.
A basic service, for just £48.00, will cover most of the issues related to sewing problems. This service will include a full inspection, lubrication and valet. We will check adjust if necessary the timing, upper and lower tensions, feed dogs, clearances and tolerances, stitch formation, needle bar adjustment etc.
Just drop your machine off at the shop and we can usually have it ready for collection within a couple of days.
